SYDNEY – Christie® is proud to once again illuminate the screens of the 2025 SXSW® Sydney Screen Festival with its state-of-the-art CineLife+ Series cinema projectors, bringing exceptional visual experiences to audiences from October 13–19.
Currently in its third year, SXSW Sydney continues to be one of the region’s most anticipated celebrations of creativity and innovation, spanning film, music, gaming, and technology. As a trusted projection partner, Christie’s high-performance cinema solutions will power screenings across several key venues, including the Everest Theatre at the Seymour Centre, which, for the first time, serves as the main theatre for SXSW Sydney’s headline film screenings.
Working in partnership with Original Syndicate and HOYTS Cinema Technology Group (CTG), Christie will provide its CP4435-RGB pure laser cinema projector, a 4K-resolution, 35,000-lumen powerhouse known for its brilliant color, contrast, and performance. The projector will deliver breathtaking imagery on a 11.5-meter by 4.81-meter (37.7-feet by 15.8-feet) Severtson SAT4K acoustically transparent woven screen, promising festivalgoers an unforgettable cinematic experience at the Everest Theatre.
Film enthusiasts can also experience Christie’s visual excellence at Palace Central Cinema Sydney in Chippendale, another flagship venue for this year’s Screen Festival. Christie CineLife+ RBe projectors featuring Phazer™ illumination are among the projection systems in use at Palace Central, delivering vibrant, true-to-life visuals that enhance every frame. Additional SXSW Sydney Screen Festival screenings will take place at Ritz Cinema in Randwick and Dendy Cinemas in Newtown.

The CP4435-RGB will light up some of the festival’s most anticipated titles, including “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere”, starring Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen; “Black Phone 2” from horror visionary Scott Derrickson; “Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie” by Matt Johnson; Lynne Ramsay’s psychological drama “Die My Love”; and “Bugonia,” a dark comedy from Yorgos Lanthimos starring Emma Stone.
Additionally, Christie will donate four SXSW Sydney Pro Passes to the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). These passes grant access to all sessions across the festival, including the Conference and Expo, underscoring Christie’s ongoing commitment to support AFTRS in their mission to nurture emerging talent and advance Australia’s creative industries.
